As fate would have it, the Idar Family swiftly forged deep bonds with the local Bedouin community, who embraced them wholeheartedly. Enamored by the charm of this fair-haired family, the Bedouins watched with delight as their own children frolicked joyously alongside their newfound friends. In those early days, Sinai remained an oasis of tranquility, where the desert and the sea coalesced in harmonious coexistence. For Bjorn, Annette, and their three spirited children - Louani, Kim, and Cindy - the enchantment of the desert and the mesmerizing hues of the Red Sea were an instant allure. Yet, it was the warm, open-hearted nature of the Bedouins that truly captured their souls - a people as tolerant as they were inquisitive.
Anticipating the shifting tides brought by burgeoning tourism, the Idar Family, in collaboration with the local Bedouins, orchestrated camel and diving safaris, inviting travelers to partake in the enigmatic allure of the Bedouin Caravan, traversing secret tracks both on land and along the shore. Their unique venture garnered rapid acclaim, birthing their pioneering company in 1974 - a sanctuary of Eco-tourism, conceived well before the concept had even taken root. Working in tandem with esteemed partners such as the illustrious CLUB MEDITERRANEE (CLUB MED), the intrepid Divers of the HOMMES-GRENOUILLES DE PARIS, and later catering to the adventurous spirit of the Scandinavian Tour Operator FRITIDSRESOR, the Idar Family's vision began to take flight.
Expanding their horizons beyond the confines of Sinai, they soon included the enchanting landscapes of Jordan and the rest of Egypt within their immersive itineraries. Today, this illustrious enterprise, known as Acacia-Adventure, remains under the adept stewardship of Louani Idar, with the collective wisdom and expertise of Bjorn, Annette, Kim, and Cindy continuing to guide its path towards new frontiers.
